Sunnyvale, CA – PLX Devices Inc. introduced the DM-100 intelligent multifunctional display (iMFD) gauge at the 2006 SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas to very positive reviews. Winning three “Best New Product” awards from three international magazines as well as being awarded runner-up in the “Best New Interior Accessory Product” category by the SEMA Show. The iMFD system makes an affordable way to display engine data ranging from air/fuel ratio, to boost/vacuum, to engine gas temperature, fluid temperature, and many more.

Utilizing the latest in display technologies, the iMFD system is open to almost any form of customization. The compact DM-100 gauge can be fitted to virtually any vehicle. Coupled with the ability to measure up to four different parameters at once, as well as the ability to completely customize its display to any personal specification, the DM-100 gauge gives any tuner or custom car builder nearly infinite design possibilities.

Measuring 4" x 2.875" x 1.125" (104mm x 75mm x 28mm) L x W x H and cast out of extruded aluminum, the DM-100 control box can be easily hidden away or displayed in any automotive vehicle. The OLED gauge, built to industry standard 2 1/16" (52mm) x 0.7" (18mm) fits into standard 2 1/16” (52mm) gauge pods, mounts, pillars, and cups. The OLED gauge offers several distinct advantages over the traditional liquid crystal displays (LCD). OLED gauges can be made thinner; offer more vibrant colors, and has better contrast. The viewing angle is wider, and produces almost no polarization. .

Built to interface with up to 32 PLX Sensor Modules (SM), the iMFD DM-100 can be used to eliminate the need for numerous gauges by being able to display numerous data in one gauge. PLX SM modules currently available to interface with the DM-100 measure Boost/Vac, Fluid Temperature, Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR), and Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT). With many more modules to be released in 2007, the DM-100 will be able to replace old fashion analog gauges that crowd the interior of cars.

The use of OLED gauges also affords the user of DM-100 the ability to customize in entirety the look of the gauge display. From the color of the background, to the needle, to the numbers, this is just a mere fraction of the customization capabilities of the DM-100.
