Fine, when it works July 26, 2018
Reviewer: Lance Turner from East Ridgley, TAS Australia
I backed it on kickstarter, the firmware in this unit is all over the place. It gets confused about the state of charge, I put it on charge yesterday and the display now says 14% charged, but with 4280mAh in the battery (it started at 0mAh)?

Sometimes it thinks it is charging when it is being used and so discharging, and also it says it is discharging when it is on charge with the LEDs turned off. This is with it set to standard charging mode.

Sometimes the unit will not turn on and the only way to get it to operate is plug it in to charge, and while connected, turn it on, then unplug it. The screen then stays on and you can use it. The next time you use it, it may or may not turn on.

I've never seen a device with such messed up firmware, this light gets no use because it is unreliable, the state of charge display is fantasy and so you can't trust it. Was a waste of money, I'm only giving it two stars because the overall build and feel of the unit is quite good.

The envy of all flashlights! May 17, 2018

When fully charged, it is the envy of all flashlights! At camping trips, road trips and parties, the Luxor2 flashlight is the center of attention. Everyone wants to play with it, it is definitely a must have item for the tech enthusiast!

As a 'flashlight' for emergencies, it falls to a 0/5 stars rating.
A few times, when charged to full it'll keep its charge for about 3 weeks then it'll suddenly drop to 0% power.
Other times after charging to 100%, it can't even keep its charge for 2 weeks!
On several occasions where I needed a flashlight, Luxor2 was ALWAYS out of power. There was not a single occasion where I could pull out my Luxor2 during an emergency because the battery is @ 0%.

Think of the Luxor2 as a flashy tech gadget! It is the coolest flashlight on the market!
DO NOT RELY on the Luxor2 as your main flashlight. It'll fail you when you need it the most.

Luxor 2 (and 1) February 22, 2018

I really like the Luxor 2 & 1 flashlights. They're kind of what I hoped for, have long battery life, and great usability, and aren't too heavy.

I felt I had to write this review because a) Luxor 2 is great and b) so is the Luxor 1.

Rugged, but battery health fell off quickly October 10, 2017
Reviewer: K. Daniels
The features available on this flashlight are pretty neat.  Although, for what I use the light for auto focus is not very useful. Also, I would recommend a setting in the future for just beam in addition to beam/flood and beam/flood/lantern.  The battery health dropped off significantly after the first two charge cycles I put the light through.  It still seems to be putting out the same amount of light, but needs to be charged more frequently.  (I re-read the literature on the light and it is recommended to not allow the charge to drop less than 20% because it can   degrade battery health)  I'll be getting a backup battery just in case.  I use this light aboard a Navy ship and it has held up to drops and banging into solid steel beams, equipment, etc.  I was worried about the method of attachment of the head of the flashlight to the body and that it seemed to be made out of plastic, but the connection has held up well for the last six months after several drops from 6 feet or so.

Amazing! November 28, 2016
Reviewer: Jess Gordon from San Francisco, CA United States
I'm a Kickstarter backer and I've been using my Luxor 2 for about a week and this literally puts all of my other flashlights to shame. It's great around the house, it's great in the backyard shed and I love the features. It will take some time to get acquainted with everything but I'm supremely happy with my light. The light output seems brighter than some of my other claimed 2000 lumen lights. auto focus is cool, snappy and quick. I also like the fact that you can manually set it up to however you like. This is a must buy light and a must keep for pretty much all of your lightning needs. Nice job with this one PLX devices!
