2 of 5 Problems working with older 100W panels October 25, 2020

I was an early gen 1 backer. One of my gen 1  microinverters failed. Because gen1 microinverters were no longer made, So I purchased a gen 3 replacement which worked fine, however it was not compatible with the gen1 solar regulator. I purchased a gen 3 solar regulator and another gen3 microinverter. The second gen3 microinverter  would not connect with either pair of my gen1 solar panels (serial # begins with 102) while the 1st microinverter connects no problem with either pair of  gen 1 panels (serial # begins with 101). I contacted Tech support 3 times, they just blew me off. The later series (102...) probably works fine with the newer 150w panels, but the description claims to work with most all panels.
